Junior Designer

DESCRIPTION: To support and collaborate with the Principal Designer, Paige, in creating functionally beautiful spaces for clients while using industry knowledge, design experience, innovative design concepts and creativity.

Location: Laguna Beach, CA

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design work on all projects and all stages of design through installment, including but not limited to: CAD drawings, sourcing, consulting, scheduling, and negotiating.

• Work directly with Principal Designer to design, create and present at client meetings. Presentations include CAD drawings, mood boards, surface materials, color palettes, lighting, etc.

• Work directly with Project Managers to generate plan specifications based on client needs and contract requirements.

• Source and work with outside vendors to procure and coordinate all furniture, fixtures, & accessories.

• Design and manage multiple projects at once.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4+ years of Interior Design Experience, preferably from a design specific firm.

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field from an accredited school.

• Proficient in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite (Not required but would be nice to have)

• Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications.

• Knowledge of design requirements, construction methods and materials for high end residential environments.

• Great ability to multitask, work independently as well as a team, fearless and ambitious.

• Must be reliable

• Reliable car and willing to travel.

• Ability to aid in moving heavy samples and furniture items during presentations or installations.
